At least 471 parents were deported and their children were kept in the U.S. in detention centers, and some were put into foster care
Private companies are profiting from child detention
The truth about family separation and child detention is unsettling. We know that this was planned. We know that instead of seeking humane immigration reform, the U.S. has instead implemented policies which undermine the Flores Agreement and which continue to rip families apart. We know that DHS is working to end Flores and implement new standards.
Now that we know, we must act.
