The Coalition to End Child Detention is proud to host a screening of the documentary Witness at Tornillo.
Those of you who were with us during the fight to shut down Tornillo most likely remember Joshua Rubin, the man who camped outside the child prison for 3 months, and later moved on to Homestead with the same philosophy: to hold space, to be present, to bear witness to the abuse being committed by the United States Government.
Join us on November 20th for a screening of the documentary Witness at Tornillo. Share the event with family and friends. We must pre-sell tickets prior to the event in order for it to take place.
If you were with us, you are a part of this. If you weren't with us, this is an invaluable opportunity to be taken back to Tornillo, and to join us now in the fight to end child detention and migrant abuse.
This documentary follows Joshua Rubin as he set up camp outside the Tornillo child prison, adding consistent presence and garnering national support in the movement to shut down the facility. Members of the Coalition to End Child Detention are proud to have worked with Joshua, and look forward to sharing this film with the El Paso community.
